 Ragu'Siciliano

This sauce is prepared as traditionally done on Sundays or during the holidays in the villages at the foot of Mount Etna. Rosalia still follows the recipe

and uses the same ingredients from the tradition: eggplants, peas, onion, tomato paste, and red wine. A perfect sauce for tasty pasta dishes.

The Sunday tradition in Sicily in a jar ready to taste

This traditional Sicilian recipe combines Nebrodi's prized Sicilian pork with the best ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine: eggplant, tomato puree, peas, extra virgin olive oil and red wine.In the houses at the foot of Etna this is the traditional Sunday sauce. Now it is ready for you in a jar for your Italian pasta dishes.

On low heat and with a bay leaf

With Rosalia ragu' you can enjoy many types of pasta, ravioli, tortellini, gnocchi, polenta, and more. our chef advises you to taste tagliatelle, an ideal pasta format for a quick, surprising Gourmet starter. To get the most out of all the aromas, we recommend heating the sauce over low heat while the pasta is cooking. Do you want to add a personal touch? Add a bay leaf to the pan and season for a few minutes. Add the pasta to the ragu until everything is absorbed and place on a nice plate and finish with Parmesan cheese or grana padano and possibly black pepper.
